After the last upgrade of Cyberpanel put CSF out of action and we are now without a firewall, I first installed UFW and configured it rudimentarily.
However, since UFW cannot react dynamically to threats, I would like to install PSAD, which I use successfully on other servers that do not have CyberPanel.
The installation of PSAD works smoothly (Ubuntu 22.04 LTS) and there are no visible problems with the configuration. In fact, PSAD also starts working after you start it and the log file fills up with attacking IP addresses.
However, PSAD is not able to block IPs within IPTABLES under Cyberpanel. I have tried it on several Cyberpanel systems and it just doesn’t work.
Does anyone have a tip? What in Cyberpanel could prevent this?
I am an absolute newbie when it comes to IPTABLES.
