Support for Alma Linux / Rocky / others?

The year is speeding by and we are doing a lot of internal thinking (and a bit of testing) to decide what we are going to do with all of our CentOS 8 servers over the next few months.

It would be good to know if CyberPanel is going to officially support a RHEL based distribution in the future, and if so which one(s)?

CentOS Stream, Alma Linux, Rocky, or something else?

I’d personally also love to see support for OpenSUSE Leap but know that isn’t likely to happen

Any thoughts from any member of the CyberPanel team?

It would be really good to have any clarification on this.

We use CentOS 7 mostly and downgraded few new machines to C7 lately due to the whole situation. And of course we wonder what’s next…

Rocky Linux looks promising and - as it’s supposed to be a RHEL fork and CentOS successor - it shoudn’t be that hard to adjust CP installer/enviroment to work with it.

Any dev news on this?

+2 Would like to hear news about Rocky Linux Support as it becomes stable few days ago

Thx a lot!
I’ve installed CP at Rocky 8.5 successfully and it seems to work fine.
We’re going to test it this week and try Alma as well.
But the future looks good.
Thanks again, Guys!

From the above three Alma Linux is supported by a cyber panel.
And the other supporting OS is ubuntu you can also use ubuntu 20.04 that is also a good option.

CyberPanel supports alma Linux. If you’re using Ubuntu, then this is a good option.
