i got this error when trying to connect to FTP port 21, how to fix? centos OS

Which vps provider are you using, I am having the same issue on my cyberpanel installation on Google Cloud unable to connect using FTP with server IP as host & user/pass generated from cyberpanel admin.

huweicloud is one of the costliest providers I found even costlier the GCP which I use, we I was getting the same error on GCP which was due to firewal rules in network firewall .

Provider like AWS, Alibaba, GoogleCloud have network-level firewall this may be the case in huwaeicloud also try to open port TCP port 21, 40110-40210 in firewall rules or security groups.

This solved the issue for me of connecting to FTP. The message “Server sent passive reply with unroutable address” will show up but you will be able to connect to FTP.
