Rocky Linux Cannot Update Cyberpanel

I installed Cyberpanel on CentOS 8 and then did a conversion to Rocky Linux 8. Everything has been running find but I cannot update Cyberpanel. After pasting the update command I get the following error.

Fetching latest data from CyberPanel server...

This may take few seconds...

Checking root privileges...

You are runing as root...

Checking server location...

Unable to detect your system...

CyberPanel is supported on Ubuntu 18.04 x86_64, Ubuntu 20.04 x86_64, Ubuntu 20.10 x86_64, CentOS 7.x, CentOS 8.x, CloudLinux 7.x and AlmaLinux 8.x...

I’ve tried updating through yum to see if that would help, but then I get this error.

Errors during downloading metadata for repository 'powertools-for-cyberpanel':
  - Status code: 404 for http://mirror.centos.org/pub/rocky/8/PowerTools/x86_64/os/repodata/repomd.xml (IP: 2607:f8f8:700:12::10)
Error: Failed to download metadata for repo 'powertools-for-cyberpanel': Cannot download repomd.xml: Cannot download repodata/repomd.xml: All mirrors were tried
Ignoring repositories: powertools-for-cyberpanel

Any ideas?

Rocky Linux 8 not on supported OS list. Maybe you should ask admins to add it to list (may not happen they don’t have resources test all OS) or just use supported OS.

On Almalinux 8.5, I can update cyberpanel but “dnf upgrade” gives me this :

CentOS Linux 8 - PowerTools 21 kB/s | 8.1 kB 00:00
Errors during downloading metadata for repository ‘powertools-for-cyberpanel’:

I installed Rocky 8.5 base now, same.

I ended up installing a fresh copy of Rocky and Cyberpanel installed without issue. Not sure about running an update.

Actually Centos official mirrors removed Powertools and some other files from their repo currently and hence this issue.

With ALMALINUX8.5, what would be the suggestion to resolve this? remove the repo? If so what are the implications? Or should we point to a new repo?

I tried a fresh install with Alma 8.5 and I believe I saw it during the install also, which is a little concerning during a clean and fresh install of CYBERPANEL.

edit this file:
nano /etc/yum.repos.d/CentOS-PowerTools-CyberPanel.repo
change: enabled=1 to enabled=0
save
dnf update

Rocky Linux still can’t get updates even though the installation script allows Cyberpanel to be installed on Rocky Linux systems. I’ve changed enabled to 0 in /etc/yum.repos.d/CentOS-PowerTools-CyberPanel.repo but still no luck (i’m getting CyberPanel is supported on Ubuntu 18.04 x86_64, Ubuntu 20.04 x86_64, Ubuntu 20.10 x86_64, CentOS 7.x, CentOS 8.x, CloudLinux 7.x and AlmaLinux 8.x)

Any chance this gets fixed??

show me /etc/yum-repo (somethimg like this) directory listing

Hi Bro, This is the correct path to /etc/yum.repos.d/Rocky-PowerTools.repo for Rocky Linux and not CentOS-PowerTools-CyberPanel. Can you please check it? I think to completely eliminate the failovermethod warning, you need to edit /etc/yum.repos.d/litespeed.repo and comment out failovermethod.
