I’m having trouble with Cyberpanel when trying to create websites using .com.de domains. Here’s what’s happening:
DNS Zone Not Created Automatically: I tried setting up a website called “marketing.com.de,” but Cyberpanel didn’t create the DNS zone automatically.
Manual DNS Zone Creation Failed: I tried to manually create the DNS zone, and even though I got a confirmation message, the zone didn’t show up in the panel.
.com Domain Works Fine: I tested with a regular .com domain, and everything worked perfectly, including the DNS zone creation.
Possible Subdomain Confusion: I think Cyberpanel might be confusing the .com.de domain with a subdomain, which could be causing the issue.
can you try to make it like a sub domain ?
so you first add the main domain ( as a dummy domain ) , so you got com.de as dns into the list ( and a account )
then create the “sub” domain
on that way the system stil handle it as a sub domain , add its own dns to it , points to the main domain that you can manaual alter if needed and it “should” work
Thanks for your response, but unfortunately nothing seems to be working. Cyberpanel doesn’t appear to create DNS zones for domains with the .com.de extension. Additionally, when I try to add or delete records for such a domain (e.g., marketing.com.de), the domain itself is not listed.
I’d be grateful if anyone could try to replicate this issue when they have a chance. Simply create a test website using Cyberpanel with a .com.de domain, such as testing.com.de and see whether Cyberpanel create a DNS zone of this domain or not.
sadly enough i can not test it out as i use a complete other contol panel ( last cyberpanel i used was version 1.9 , swapped to CWP )
but based on the posts it are still the same old problems
do you got any knowledge about mysql ?
because cyberpanel use PowerDNS it is database driven unlike bind ( file driven )
so that mean you can manual edit the database to “force” the domain name into the database and bypass the contorl panel
i needed to do that to to be able to use RDNS as cyberpanel does not supported that out of the box, a quick edit and it was fixed , but every edit needed to be done manual into the database itself so the control panel became obselete for that stuff.
if you like i can test it out on my control panel, but that is all i can do
i hope the manual edit solve it. just be sure to make a backup first as it is real sensitive to bad data. ( there are a lot of reasons i replaced cyberpanel )
