Error compiling wsgi-lsapi on AlmaLinux 9 after upgrading CyberPanel from 2.3.9 to 2.4.0

Hello everyone,

I am currently facing an issue while trying to upgrade CyberPanel from version 2.3.9 to 2.4.0 on an AlmaLinux 9 server.

During the upgrade process, when compiling wsgi-lsapi, I constantly get the following message at the end of the build:

Seems something wrong with upgrade, please check...

Here are some details about my environment:

  • OS: AlmaLinux 9
  • Python version: 3.9
  • Django version inside CyberPanel virtualenv: 4.2.14
  • GCC version: 11.x
  • CyberPanel path: /usr/local/CyberCP/
  • lswsgi binary is present and running.

The compilation steps seem to proceed without major errors, except for repeated warnings like:
#warning _FORTIFY_SOURCE requires compiling with optimization (-O) [-Wcpp]

Even though the make process completes and the lswsgi binary is generated, CyberPanel still shows a 500 Internal Server Error when I try to access the panel.

I have already:

  • Recompiled wsgi-lsapi manually.
  • Installed all requirements inside the CyberPanel virtual environment.
  • Restarted the lscpd service multiple times.
  • Ensured that /usr/local/bin/lswsgi exists and is executable.
  • Set PYTHONPATH correctly when testing the WSGI application manually.

Still, the error persists.

Has anyone experienced a similar issue with AlmaLinux 9 or during an upgrade to 2.4.x?
Any suggestions or steps I might be missing?
