Hi. So I have yet to be able to use CyberPanel due to being stubborn and unwilling to change my host base to a Debian style (I’m a rhel/alma/fedora guy) but it actually installed using the newest version. I get an error 300 when going to :7080 but I have a pretty funky setup currently so I’m surprised it even installed. I planned to do a reimage as I broke a couple things in my current alma 9 and I am thinking I’m going to do alma 8 then the alma2rhel8 migration. I have my own valid rhel license. I use OVHCloud and I don’t have ipmi access to use my own image. I also use/have used ionos for vps and cloud server and they have a nice selection of app images and distros.
Something that both (and many other hosting providers) have is the ability to copy/paste a cloudinit config. I know that it’s possible to simply curl and bash the install script if I wanted to, but that doesn’t always work smoothly with semi-customized distro images. Cloudinit is universal though, and makes many things easier and better than bash scripting it.
Have you considered, or would you consider, a CyberPanel installer cloudinit script? I will probably create a custom one for me to use on ionos, as I’m an agency partner and after a couple test runs, I might offer it selectively. I’ve completely replaced httpd with lsws for my personal usage. So glad to not use modphp or fpm.
Anyway, this is a whole lot of words to inject the idea of a cloudinit script installer I can always sanitize and provide the one I make, tho it might need additional tweaking.
