Backing up your WordPress site using CyberPanel WordPress Manager

We will be creating backup using AWS S3. For that, first we need access key and a secret that has to be used when we create backup in CyberPanel. For that, Open your Amazon AWS dashboard

Search for IAM in the provided search bar at top and click on IAM

Click on users now and it will move you to the users screen where you will see all the users

Click on Add New User

Now add your user name and select Access Key and click Next

Now select “Attach existing policies directly” and search for S3 . Select “AmazonS3FullAccess” and click Next to the review page.

Review your user and click next

You will have your Access Key and Secret Key. Save these as we will need them when we are configuring destinations.

Creating Backups

Enter your CyberPanel dashboard

Click on WordPressRemote Backups from the left hand side menu

We need to configure destination first. Enter S3 in Remote Backup Type then Amazon as a Provider. Now enter the name, Access Key and Secret Key. and click save changes

Now that your destination is configured, click on Schedule Backups

Enter your backup Name, Backup Frequency, Backup File Retention and Backup type. and click Save Backup Schedule.

This backup schedule will only work if we add WordPress sites to it. so click on Add WP Sites

Add your sites and click Save

Restore Backup

Now to restore your backups. Click on WordPressRestore from the left hand side menu

This page will show you all the backup files, click Restore against the file you want to restore

Select Restoring Method and then either your new domain or an existing domain depending on your restoring method. Click Restore Backup Now.
