My first and biggest question is, do you HAVE to run MariaDB to utilize CyberPanel? Given it is a drop in replacement for MySQL I would assume you could utilise MySQL 5.7 and theoretically the panel shouldn’t even know that it isn’t running MariaDB other than perhaps repo updates.

Secondly, I notice it requires CentOS 7.x, for those wanting to run a professional environment with support is this also compatible with RHEL?

Hello!

Before running installation you can replace repo file to install MySQL and see if it works. CyberPanel own data can run on any database, but the schema for PowerDNS and FTP might not work.

It should work with Rhel7 but I have never tested personally.
