I created a subdomain website (music.myDomain.com) and the interface is automatically creating a www.$VM_HOST sub-subdomain (www.music.myDomain.com). This is creating issues when issuing SSL because if I don’t create the sub-subdomain in DNS then SSL issuance fails.
Why not put code into the web creation page that skips the addition of the www subdomain if another subdomain was specified at creation time? An alternate option could be to have a checkbox enabling (or disabling) the creation of the www sub…
Not only is this ‘default’ behavior unwelcome, in terms of creating additional DNS entries, it also creates an issue with SSL issuance. I know that I could edit the SSL request and remove the www domain part, but what would that do at renewal time??
