New to VPS Hosting & CyberPanel

So I’ve used Shared Hosting for 25 years; so 25 years cPanel has “held” my hand in doing things. I finally decided to try a VPS host. So far I’ve tried IPSConfig and thought its UI was outdated. EasyPanel I didn’t find to easy. aaPanel’s UI wasn’t bad, but finding Docker (I have no experience with this) install support was “IFy”. Thus here I am now using CyberPanel.

Oh, I almost forgot:

VPS Host: Database Mart

Not that I’m asking for direct CyberPanel help, but who knows it may help you give me advice.

I’ve never done this and I’ll admit even my host is slightly “holding” my hand (they will install the OS & Control Panel of my choice (except when they don’t support it on VPS, such as Rocky Linux 9 OS needed for sPanel [this was my last choice before trying CyberPanel]).

Do you have any advice for someone who is new to VPS/Dedicated Hosting who has primarily used Shared Hosting (currently still have an active account with Host Gator) and hasn’t had to do or learn the “hard” stuff?

Feel free to give me your advice or share tutorial videos or articles you think may help me (I also named what VPS host I’m using in case anyone has thoughts on the company or recommendations for others.

~v/Respectfully

Clearly a dead community and service.
