Migrate Almalinux and the update to latest version of Cyberpanel, but what is better to do first?

Hello everyone,

I wanted to ask a question, to see if anyone can help me or tell me about their experience.

I have a centos 8.5.2111 and Cyberpanel 2.0 with several webs (and everything works fine).

I am going to migrate Almalinux and the latest version of Cyberpanel, but what is better to do first?

I made backups of all(database, webs, conf database, conf openlitespeed…) but I’m afraid, as I have no possibility to make snapshot if everything goes wrong.

Thank you very much,

old server = A
almalinux/new server = B

actually you can convert centos to alma

and this is the second way

create/deploy new server B (Alma)
install latest Cyberpanel on B
Remote backup from B to A

done

Just wanted to say that this seems to work pretty well.

We’ve used the migration script on about ten servers up to now and it has worked flawlessly every time.

i think i will move to alma, is that true alma more suitable ?
even cyberpanel more compatible to ubuntu

I’d rather have soul than ubuntu. I did the migration, first to alma and then the cyberpanel update, and everything is working.

With Cyberpanel, I had some problem with some package but easy to fix.

Thanks
