The setup instructions are garbage, and the onboarding page does not work. I went through a ton of gotchas and had to use Gemini chat to tailor the instructions and fix the errors in them. Start using my rewritten instructions. Thank God for Gemini chat.

NOPE. It populates the hostname with an unwanted hostname. If you use any sort of VPS, your machine has a reverse DNS set for you and that is what the installer uses to register the domain name and create SSL certificates. It does not let you use a proper self-selected domain name.
