Remove Non-Custom Mail DNS Records autocreated by CyberPanel everytime

The server is running AlmaLinux 8

I am having a weird problem with default email dns records continuing to be added to the dns records.

I have 3 domains that have pointers to other email services (Gmail, MS and self hosted exchange) and they are working with the “custom” mail dns settings for the A record, txt, and MX records - but intermittently the default email dns records get re-added to the dns records.

I removed them in the DNS part of the panel and also cloudflare dashboard.

Everything is good for another week or two and then the records get re-added. Is there a script in the Cyberpanel that is doing this that I can alter or remove manually?

Hello @arccomp

Which cyberpanel version are you using ? Which server os is this ?

Thanks - Sorry I missed the basics. The server is running AlmaLinux 8

Not sure if anyone else is having a similar issue - but this default mail DNS settings happened again today. Could it be the Script that is trying to renew SSL re-creating these records?

Yes this is the bug which is yet to be fixed. Pls check here [BUG] Automatic mail.domain.com creation and ssl installation. · Issue #1059 · usmannasir/cyberpanel · GitHub

This looks like it was worked but not fixed but the item says closed

[BUG] Automatic mail.domain.com creation and ssl installation. #1059

Is there a chance to re-open and have it looked at and completely fixed?
