Backups keep being created dispite disabling option

I had enabled weekly backups on remote location, however, I disabled them 3 weeks ago via admin panel and they are still being generated but not sent, how do I stop this?

I will look into this and release a patch if there is any bug.

Remove this line from your cronjobs
