JAY #1

Most community themes stopped working after the new CyberPanel UI, so we made a free light theme that works on CyberPanel 3.x. It is plain Custom CSS: no scripts, nothing loaded from other sites, and it doesn't change how the panel works, only how it looks.

What it changes

  • Readable text everywhere: body text is 14px and no label is smaller than 12px (checked on 98 pages)
  • One calm colour: a single blue for buttons and links instead of orange on some pages and purple on others
  • Colour-coded icons: mail is always sky blue, databases purple, backups amber, security red, in the menu and on the tool pages
  • Compact tool lists: the Server, Email, Security and Settings pages show every tool as a dense list, so most fit on one screen
  • Grouped dark menu with a clear blue bar on the page you are on
  • Calmer logs and service pages: logs in an easy-to-read terminal view, a soft green dot on running services
  • Cleaner sign-in page: each field and its icon drawn as one box with a single focus ring
  • Gentle motion that switches off if your system is set to reduce motion

Install (about 2 minutes)

  1. Download the theme CSS file and open it in a text editor
  2. Log in to CyberPanel as admin and go to Settings > Design
  3. Paste the whole file into the Custom CSS box
  4. Click Save Changes, then reload with Ctrl + Shift + R

To remove it, empty the Custom CSS box and save.

Optional helper script

CyberPanel adds Custom CSS at the bottom of the page, so you may see the old look for a split second on refresh. An optional script (fix-theme-flash.sh, run as root) loads the theme at the top of every page, and adds a button that folds the menu into a slim strip of icons. It backs up every file it changes and is safe to run more than once. Run it again after a CyberPanel upgrade.

Good to know

  • Tested on CyberPanel 3.0 build 8, OpenLiteSpeed, Ubuntu 24.04. Not meant for 2.x.
  • Light mode only: the moon button in the header still gives CyberPanel's own dark look.
  • File Manager keeps the stock look because it doesn't load Custom CSS.
  • On phones the menu slides in and out as normal.

Download

The download (theme CSS, minified CSS and the helper script) is on AdminsForum: search for "Free CyberPanel 3 Theme AdminsForum". New accounts here can't post links without moderator approval, so I'll add the direct link as soon as I can. Screenshot uploads are also failing on the forum right now, I'll add screenshots once they work.
