Hello Contabo Support Team,
I have a VPS with IP address 95.000.000.00. I have installed CyberPanel on this VPS.
My WordPress website is hosted on this VPS. I need to send emails through an external SMTP server (Plesk) located at IP: 91.000.000.000 on port 465.
However, when I try to connect from my VPS to this external SMTP server, I get a “Connection timed out” error.
Here is the strange part:
- From my local home computer, I can successfully connect to 91.000.000.000 on port 465 (Test-NetConnection shows TcpTestSucceeded: True)
- But from my Contabo VPS (95.000.000.00), the connection always times out
I have already checked my CyberPanel firewall - all outgoing ports are open. The issue seems to be at the network/hypervisor level.
My VPS details:
- IP: 95.000.000.00
- Destination SMTP server IP: 91.000.000.000
- Ports I need: 25, 465, 587
Can you please check and unblock outgoing SMTP ports (25, 465, 587) from my VPS to external servers? My WordPress site needs this to send emails properly.
