Initial Questions on CyberPanel

I recently configured the CyberPanel on Ubuntu 22.04. I’ve been piloting a few other hosting panels and so far like the CyberPanel. I’m planning to move everything out of my current IONOS web hosting to private VPS with CyberPanel.

I’ve got following initial questions.

Questions:
3. Can the login page design be modified / changed for branding?

  1. Do we need to buy the WordPress Manager addon to deploy / use Wordpress website with CyberPanel?

  2. Are there public nameservers that we can use or we have to setup our own new nameservers for CyberPanel? Is there a guide on how I can move one of my existing test domain to my CyberPanel server for configuration validation? Do you recommend keeping domain registration and nameserver config with IONOS and just use CyberPanel for hosting website, emails, DNS etc?

  3. Can I use my own backup server for CyberPanel backup features rather than using Amazon S3? Like SFTP backup data to another remote server I own?

  4. What are CyberPanel Security best practices? Do you have some checklist of security configuration?

  5. Do you have some professional active support that I can engage (if needed)? I need to quickly configure the hosting panel and start setting up new sites. Rather than forum responses. I’m looking if I can talk to someone and get professional support in shared session for quick configurations.

  6. Is it possible to change left navigation on CyberPanel? I’d like to see if three main links Overview, Main and Server can be collapsed. Initially I want to focus on Server configs but I have to keep scrolling all the time

Hello,

Questions:

3. Can the login page design be modified for branding purposes?
Are you referring to white-labeling?

Do we need to purchase the WordPress Manager addon to deploy or use WordPress websites with CyberPanel?
You can deploy WordPress using the built-in installer. However, if you want a dedicated WordPress Manager with enhanced management features, then yes, the addon must be purchased.

Are there public nameservers we can use, or do we need to set up our own for CyberPanel?
Is there a guide on how to move an existing test domain to my CyberPanel server for configuration validation?
Would you recommend keeping the domain registration and DNS management with IONOS, and using CyberPanel only for hosting websites, emails, and DNS?

Yes, you can set up your own nameservers. Please refer to the following guide:

Can I use my own backup server with CyberPanel instead of Amazon S3 (e.g., SFTP backup to a remote server I own)?
Yes, CyberPanel supports SFTP-based remote backups.

What are the CyberPanel security best practices? Do you have a security checklist?
Here are some recommended practices:

  • Always use strong passwords.
  • Disable SSH password authentication.
  • Use SSH key-based authentication.
  • Change the default SSH and CyberPanel ports.

Do you offer professional support that I can engage directly (e.g., live session)?
I need to configure the hosting panel quickly and start deploying sites. I’m looking for more direct help instead of relying on forum responses.

Yes, we can offer support via WhatsApp for faster communication.

Can the left navigation panel in CyberPanel be customized?
For example, I’d like to collapse or hide the “Overview,” “Main,” and “Server” sections to reduce scrolling and focus on server configuration.

Currently, this is not possible.

@shoaibkk and @cyberpanel.net Team,

  1. I installed CyberPanel 2.4 build 2 Commit 455c25d7cbde7de66135d6f655654f4305602597 this week. Selecting a theme under Design page will not make any design changes.

  2. Is 1-760-206-6650 the right whats App support contact for your team? I can’t find it on whats app. Please share the contact number.

I need some active support to get quick answers. Planning to move away from IONOS hosting and looking for a solid hosting panel like CyberPanel.
