Trying to extract .tgz file

Hey,

I am trying to extract .tgz backup file but it is not been extracting. I have tried extracting it with FTP inside the cyber panel and also using the SSH (In SSH it is giving me an of no such file and directory) I am using this command for extracting (tar -xvzf backup.tgz) I am using the right directory path.
