Hi there,

I just set up my first WordPress site and when I change the permalinks to any other than the default I get an error when updating a post

Updating failed. The response is not a valid JSON response.

I only can update a post when I set the permalinks back to the default.

Using fresh install CyberPanel and WordPress

Hello @mrEckendonk Happy you are here

Issue: WordPress is unable to communicate with the server

  1. Delete the .htaccess and set the default .htaccess that comes with wordpress

  2. Disable gutenberg editor by installing the classic editor and using that instead

  3. If all of the above dont help there must be a theme or plugin conflict. Disable all plugins and try using gutenberg blocks

I need the Gutenberg editor for GraphQL.

Did not install any plugins (yet), the only plugin is the LiteSpeed Cache

Always disable cache plugins when doing any changes. Have you tried disabling LSCACHE

Currently, no plugins are active, when changing permalinks, the error remains.

Is your SSL certificate fully implemented?

That was the issue @josephgodwinke

When installing, the let’s encrypt certificate was installed.
Now, when hitting the issue as below in the image, resolved the error. Strange should be working out of the box,

Good News! Is everything running as expected?

First of all, I want to thank you for the support you give here on the Forum, I really appreciate it.

Now the WordPress site is running fine. Still have some issues with CyberPanel when following some tutorials. Most don’t work as expected.
