Install Issue (Ubuntu doesn’t boot after restart)

Hi, I manage my server box via proxmox and if I ever try to install cyberpanel it works absolutely fine on the Ubuntu 18.04 server until I restart the server in which it will never be able to boot again. I assumed it could be a firewall issue, however even the panel itself can’t be opened after the restart and I had to roll it back to a backup prior to install. I have tried to whitelist the proxmox ports on the web panel prior to the first restart (as I can use everything as long as the box never restarts after the install) but when I then restarted it to test it still wouldn’t boot. If you have any advise that would be greatly appreciated and feel free to ask questions if you need more information from me.
Regards Luke

Similar premise but no,

That is the link to their website
Basically it creates a virtual machine mine created an Ubuntu 18.04 machine and I was able to make it have a unique IP (that’s working perfectly even with setting a domain to it) I was able to access the cyberpanel panel fine until I restarted after the install

Hi Luke, I am having exact same issue, Proxmox and Ubuntu 22. All worked fine until reboot.
I’ll try setup on Centos. CyberPanel version is I think 2.3.3.

Btw, have you figured out what is causing it?. Setup is breaking it, just wondering would same thing happen on bear metal.

Server with a fresh install of Centos 7.x (Not recommended for new installs). I personally recommend Ubuntu 20.04 or AlamaLinux 8.4

I am just investigating and running it on Ubuntu 22. Managed to get terminal access by going to Options > Console mode > change it from tty and set it to shell. Just wondering what did go wrong.

When in console, I got status by typing systemctl status which printed cyberpanel state: maintenance.

cyberpanel
    State: maintenance
     Jobs: 0 queued
   Failed: 2 units

           ├─init.scope
           │ └─1 /sbin/init
           └─system.slice

I’ll try ubuntu 20.04 as well. AlamaLinux would be interesting as well. I don’t want to go off topic here, but I am looking for more “stable & secure” panel in comparison to aaPanel. Any thoughts on that?

Yes you have come to the right place. Click on the docs to get started. If you have any queries search the forum first before raising a topic.

Installed AlmaLinux 8 and works fine, no issues after reboot. It tok 11x more time that it would on Ubuntu. Just for those who are planning to setup same.

I am familiar with forum and where should I report errors @josephgodwinke .

Adding website in “Test Domain” mode (default) does not work, it just hangs on creating website.

Console error throws:

TypeError: Cannot read properties of null (reading 'value')

Tested on fresh installs:
Ubuntu @ cyberpanel 2.3.3
AlmaLinux @ cyberpanel 2.3.3
