DB Host name path..

Hi

trying to install external script that include installer…

i created database with user…

in the script Host name i put localhost
database name db_name
datbase user db_user

but i get error in the script.,

when i check error log in server nothing is mentioned…

does mod_rewrite enabled by default or needed to manually enable it?
is hostname , recognized dbase server host or need to add port or quotation mark or any other special charachters?

it worked fine after enabling rewrite in OLS and set the .htaccess path as rewrite rules
