How to install and activate mod_pagespeed

You need only to add the module and put this in the module parameters:

pagespeed on
pagespeed FileCachePath /tmp/lshttpd/pagespeed
pagespeed RewriteLevel CoreFilters

After that restart OLS, clear the cache for your page and you will see “x-ls-pagespeed” in the header of your page.

I configured the module per the directions in this thread. After configuration, I started getting error messages stating directories could not be made by the module. These errors included:

2018-07-05 08:25:08.849431 [ERROR] [modpagespeed] Could not create directories for file

I do not have cache enabled at the same time as per the official guide.

I created the directory /tmp/lshttpd/pagespeed and set the permissions to nobody:nobody drwxr-xr-x but that didn’t seem to fix the issue.
